Just bought two matching chrome Gaetano Sciolari chandeliers. I am missing two of the oval/pear-shaped crystals. I have been googling for two days and can't find any replacements that match exactly.

I have heard that Le Siffleur (The Whistler) in Brussels has every kind imaginable but I can't find a website for them. Anybody have any sources for italian crystals?

ME TOO.
A MATCHED PAIR? HOW WONDEFUL. I HAVE ONE; NEEDS WORK, AND IS MISSING ONE, AS WELL. HOW DID YOU FARE? ANY REPLIES? ANY LUCK? I HAVE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE: TRY A SMALL ROUND BULB (LOOK ON 1STDIBS), RATHER THAN THE CANDLE SHAPED BULB. THE ROUND LOOKS WONDERFUL. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR CHANDELIERS.

No luck
so far, Mary. But I haven't been to that shop in Brussels, yet. If I ever find any, I will buy a few extra. How many are you missing?

One missing
Only one is missing; but I'd sure go for a couple xtra, as well. How can I help find Brussels? I might also try a contact in Italy that hawks modern fixtures on ebay . . . Where did you find your Sciolaris; and were they a fortune? Are you using both? UNBELIEVABLE. This is my favorite Sciolari -- even more gorgeous when double decker. I did get another on Craig's List -- an iconic one that I'm using in a powder room -- for $40!!!!!! Mine's brass.
PS: Can't believe that you found my message so quickly! You must really be addicted to this site.

I have that light!! It is...
I have that light!! It is great, never knew which bulbs to use so ended up with oven bulbs which match the plastic on the bottom. However they don't last long and cost a few quid.
I could do with getting it re-chromed as it has worn over the years. So if anyone knows of a good refurbishment firm in London for these lights let me know. Does the place in Belgium refurb as well as sell parts?

PELL ARTIFEX, NYC
THIS IS THE FINEST LIGHTING RESTORER IN NY; BUT MICHAEL PELL -- VERY NICE AND TOTALLY COMPETENT -- COSTS A FORTUNE. RECENTLY, TO STRIP FINISH OFF A LIGHTOLIER SWING ARM DESK LAMP FROM THE '50S, REBRASS IT AND REWIRE IT, WOULD COST $600/US! BUT WHEN IT'S CRUCIAL, HE'S A GREAT RESOURCE.

Found a wonderful chain resource, Riki
I have found an upstate ny maker of modern GORGEOUS chandelier chain, and am ordering some for our Sciolari. Meantime, I've discovered mine would be $1K to polish; so I've spent the last two days rubbing my hands sore. It's getting there, but I'm still jealous of your shine and the PAIR!!!!! Now, I need to admit, a friend found mine on CL for $300. I tried to copy pix of the custom chain onto this message, but it's emailed, and won't work. If you're interested, send email address to nicelines@gmail.com, and I'll forward pix.
If I find crystals, I'll write you right away.

Gaetano Sciolari crystal chandelier
I have one large and one small Sciolari crystal fixtures, the large one has all the crystals and I bought the small one to get replacement crystals, so I have one complete fixture and spare parts. Let me know if you are interested, I am planning on selling it because we are moving to a much smaller place in Mexico.
If you are interested please contact me at:chiquitacoyne@juno.com

Are they the same crystals? If so, how much do you want for 2 plus shipping to Switzerland? Thanks! Riki

Sciolari crystals
Which crystals do you need, the bars or the tear drops?
I would have to find out how much it is to ship to Switzerland and will let you know.

Looking for the the long crystals for this Sciolari chandelier
Do you still have crystals for this Sciolari chandelier. I'm missing the 12 vertical ones that go around the top. Let me know.
Michael

Hi, Michael
I eventually resorted to buying a Sciolari sconce. I used the two crystals that I needed and I sold the extra crystals right here on the Radar.
The only things I have left are the six smaller teardrops and the actual brass frame of the sconce. The six long bars were the first things that sold. Sorry!
