Repair of plywood on Plycraft lounge chair + ottoman

of the scratches would help. If they're not deep a little wax or oil will help. Deeper ones might benefit from a hard-wax fill in the right color -- these are available, as sticks or "crayons" in a number of colors (see a professional paint store) and are applied by heating with a hot hair dryer and rubbing into the scratch, followed by paring with a knife (can be heated) or hard plastic implement, and clean-up with mineral spirits (paint thinner).
The missing black paint can be touched up with some satin black latex paint.

... right now. But the chips are pretty deep. It's pretty much the top layer of the ply pealed and chipped off. I'll check out the second option you suggested. If that doesn't work... I guess I'm on the hunt for a cheap ottoman in good condition... (that is almost a joke, I guess).

If
veneer is missing, it will take some artistry to make up the lack with wax. A re-veneering of the surface is a possibility, but this will likely cost more than a replacement panel.
