Hi, I have a barcelona chair that I'm unsure of, its chromed steel and comes in 5 parts and I have a hunch that it is the German production with the 'rabbeted and tapped' connection that Steigler produced for Knoll International,  see link here and scroll down to the bottom.  http://www.buw-output-archiv.uni-wuppertal.de/ausgabe6/deuerler/index-en.htmlThe connections are hidden under the straps which are all screwed in.Were any of the 1990s' Italian, or any other  copies made like this? Thankyou for your advice.

Some Italian copies, steeldomus, perhaps Alivar (not Knoll int) also used the rabbeted 5 piece construction. Interesting to know.
