You don't even know who is gay (or who is a dealer for that matter) here... so yes, your comment was offensive and can be interpreted as homophobic.
Unless, of course, you were being entirely facetious. It was not clear.

alright
I understand it might have been light hearted but i honestly was just hoping someone might be able to tell me if i have a fake or not...and I honestly only asked for a estimated value because i cant find anything online with all of my research. :/ not that im going to rush out and sell it but i would like to know what i have before i take an electric sander to it...
I am very new to this forum so I was not prepared for that amount of joking.
I do appreciate any information you guys can give.
As to why i commented on my own topic. was to keep it towards the top so someone might be able to see it and help me before it got pushed to the bottom.
that all being said...Might it be a fake since it has 5 spindles? ANDDD if i sand it am i going to potentially hard its value?

your correct
yes you are correct the back is a bit different and it does have on extra spindle but the legs and seat look identical otherwise. I dont know what it is but it does have Frem Rojle stamped on the bottom and it does say made in denmark...
like i said either i have some rare model or i have a fake. im leaning more towards fake though.... only because i have yet to find another chair like it online....

DO NOT SAND!!!
The most you will need to revive the chair is a very fine wire wool and some wax from the damage I can see in the picture. You may need a finish stripper but no more. PUT THE SANDER DOWN.

Pictures of the bottom
Here are the pictures of the bottom with the maker mark and such. excuse the bad quality images they were taken with my cell phone. Also i am a bit concerned with the denmark sticker because i have seen on one other one that it was pressed in and not a sticker...also the F in Frem is missing :/

Lets hear what you guys think! Fake? or Real? if real what model or is it even a Poul Volther???
thanks!

dude?
Seriously.. why on earth would you think this chair is a fake??
It seems like an awful lot of work to produce a stamp and danish control sticker to create a forgery of this particular chair.
I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure they started using danish control stickers (instead of burned stamps and metal medallions) in the 1970's and 80's.

Not fake.
Either a Volther design, or a slight derivative made by the company.
