Greetings,
Please, help me identify the marking on a dresser I wish to buy.
The seller says it is a Kai Kristiansen. The only marking on the piece is a blue diamond label that says "Pindex BB2." I cannot locate any information on the label, nor can the dealer give further information to prove its origin.
Do you have any idea what "Pindex" means? Below is a photo of the tag.
Thank you so much. Hope all is well.

If it is a Kai Kristiansen, it is very likely someone here can tell you so, and point you to a literature reference to prove it.
As to the tag: It could be a lot of thing. It is upside down on the piece right? That leads me not to think it is any sort of maker's mark. It could be related to transport at some time (I've seen this, especially when adhered crooked). It could be a plywood mark, although I've never seen a paper tag plywood grade mark, but the BB2 is similar to the terminology for that.
Kai Kristiansen dresser
Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, there are no other markings on the dresser. My friend is a dealer and says without the markings, it could be any designer, or a mass-produced piece in the style of KK.
Is there any other way to prove the origin of a KK?
Thanks so much for the help.

There are vintage catalogs, advertisements, the danish furniture index, etc.
Kai Kristiansen is a very well known designer, with a very well known body of work.
I am beginning to think it is likely Børge Rosenbaum for Billige Knald Møbler, sight unseen.
