I think this would be considered very much like the Ham Radios of the 1950's and 60's 70's before we had the Internet. It just gets more exciting all the time.

discussed this some years ago, since then i am signing my posts with .be th einternetcode from belgium. but some of us here are 'men of the world' who were born someplace, raised in another country, studied elsewhere, worked in yet another country, married with someone of yet another country and then emigrated again to new horizons. i must admit i admire them and wish i could say the same...

to me. Other fora I attend have this info displayed (if submitted by the poster). Everything from time zone to national/local custom to language usage is relevant, and thus knowing the poster's location can sometimes be helpful. Of course some will prefer complete anonymity and the Web respects this.
