Please Help With Herman Miller Table?

I am trying to get hold of a HM table - the people who have this table claim it is vintage Herman Miller - it does not look like one to me. Is this fake? BTW, no marking.

Or way mis-attributed. Either way, not an HM design. The HM table bases are made primarily out of cast aluminum (Eames) or extruded steel (Nelson) These appear to be stamped steel. The black spider on the top is a very different, disctinctive shape when made by HM.

Not HM in my opinion either -...
Not HM in my opinion either - the way the legs go into the centre of the base is wrong - plus the hardware looks all wrong for HM for me.
