Hi,
I am looking for a sofa ID for the below Pearsall-style sofa. It is similar to a few models from the Pearsall archive website, but I have not seen any Craft pieces with these caned arms. No apparent markings and Google searching a few different word combos have been unsuccessful (e.g. mid century, sofa, and cane, keep turning up Hvidt daybeds)
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

cheap knockoff
seems like a harsh description to use. Maybe its not Pearsall but it does appear to be a period sofa.

Look at the bad joints,...
Look at the bad joints, stained fruitwood and awkwardly shaped edges. Just because it's period doesnt mean it wasn't cheap and badly made.

Well, I did take a trip out...
Well, I did take a trip out to look at it last night, and it was even less appealing in person. It was not walnut, but some type of stained wood (good eye foxxy from those poor photos), and a little clunky on the backside framing. Asking price was way too high for what it was.
On a related topic, when I was Googling around for info on that sofa, I came across some mid century Flexsteel Thunderbird models that also look similar to Craft Pearsall sofas. I am not very familiar with Flexsteel. Was there ever a relationship with Pearsall, or is the Thunderbird series a blatant knock-off?
By the way, I do not really consider the original sofa I posted in this thread as a knock-off, as it was not trying to exactly mimic another model. Rather it borrows iconic forms from one design, and uses them (sloppily) in a different design.

Much more
a wannabe than a Knock-off.

Another Pearsall look-alike
There is another sofa design that gets referenced frequently on the internet as being a Pearsall, despite not being included in the catalog on adrianpearsall.com. So I decided to ask his son, Jim, via the contact info from that site. He confirmed that this design is not Craft and not designed by his father.
As a quick tell, I do not believe that any Pearsall sofa has the exposed double "L" wood framing in front. Nice sofa nonetheless.
