I just picked this up from a secret place in the forest where I also very recently found a square Planner Group cocktail table. The top part of this one is peculiar, though, and I haven't located another specimen like this on the internet thus far. It looks like it might have had a stone or other inset top (?) previously and the top portion is a bit clunky...but it's got those angled threaded legs. It appears to be all original, and it's fine furniture, heavy solid maple. Looks like a Planner Group Reject. Is it Winchendon or other?

Maybe Russell Wright?
Just has that solid look as you say... but not sure if he ever used threaded legs. He did use dowel legs on larger tables though.

I think
it may be a Crawford furniture piece.

Probably not.
McCobb's treads go just about all the way to the leg. You should also see very faint tool marks that wrap all the way around the legs.
