Sooooooo,
I recently discovered a McCobb Planner desk and matching chair on an estate sale preview site. I think that they are unaware of what the desk is and will be able to get it for a steal. Only problem is (or is it?) that the desk and chair are white. I can see the natural wood peeking through the edge of the chair. So I am fairly sure it has been painted. I am not positive if the desk was ever sold in a white finish? Can anyone shed some light on this? If it has been painted will it be easy to strip and restore (or worth it for that matter)? Should I get it and just leave it as is and chalk it up to the history of the piece? Any advice would be thankfully received.

White
could be original, and uncommon. See here;
