A dealer claims this is a Paul McCobb. I'm not so sure. What do you all think?

I think
.. that just because it has tapered legs of a light colored wood does not make it a Paul McCobb design.

Not by Paul McCobb
This couch is unlike any Paul McCobb sofa design in my copious research archive. In my studied opinion it is categorically not a Paul McCobb design.

Thanks you guys
I really appreciate your input. I guess it pays to do your research before making expensive purchases. Ya can't always listen to the dealer.
Jonathan, I sure do hope you bottle up all your thoughts and research and sell them to me in the form of a book.

love your blog cant wait for your book
Jonathan,
Thanks for your wonderful McCobb blog. I especially like the references to his Lane work, and look forward to finding out what complete lines he worked with. I have a rosewood set from 71 that has black box plinth bases that have a nice MCM look.
Many thanks,
Renj
