Panton flowerpot question

I was wondering if there was a variant of the flowerpot table lamp (the one with the arched stem) that had a base other than the ring version. I saw a lamp that looked like one but had a somewhat thick disc base with a bare metal edge. Knock off? thanks

Sounds like a knock off or something homemade. I've seen countless and owned a few prototypes by Verner Panton and I'm pretty sure I've seen just about anything else he has designed, but I've only ever seen the Flowerpot table lamp in the original version you mention first + a newer version launced some years ago by Unique Design (with the permission of Marianne Panton).
