Got this one at a yard sale here in Los Angeles for $1 USD.
I know it's a wreck, but it has a pre-zip code Knoll label (pictured) and I'm very curious about it. I'd be grateful for any insights. Thanks a lot.
The first pic is a stereo pair which can be "free viewed" in perfect 3D without any apparatus.
Cross your eyes and you'll see three images, a ghostly one on either side, and the middle one will be 3D. It may help to hold your index finger or a pen vertically and centered in front of your face, 8 or 10 inches away- focus on the finger or pen rather than the images and move the pen closer or farther from your eyes until the two images slide together into one, with the two ghostly images on either side. When that happens you can lower the pen and focus on the central (3D)image.

It was never suggested or implied that anyone would "need a 3-D (sic) view to know what it is."
It's just what I do and as the pic was already a stereo I saw no reason to alter it. And I thought it might be interesting to some.
But we who work on 3D movies are familiar with this kind of reaction.
After the acclaim accorded "Hugo" Scorcese recently announced that all his future movies will be 3D.
And, mirabile dictu, Jean-Luc Godard has announced that his next movie will be 3D.
The word around here is that they have been paid off by a certain aspirin manufacturer.
Below- still from "Une femme mariée" (Jean-Luc Godard, 1964).
I am
grateful to you Pegboard.
You ID'd the chair immediately and I really do appreciate it.
I've seen some of your other posts and may I say that you are indeed very knowledgeable and write very cogently and with great wit at times- "Respect" was a classic comment.
I neglected to thank you and that was rude- you have my sincere apology.
As for the above, just kidding around which you accepted with grace.
