My mother recently died recently and she owned a sofa she claimed was designed by Norman Bel Geddes. She purchased it in the late 40s - early 50s. It was incredibly long and slung back slightly. I can find no evidence on the 'net that Bel Geddes ever designed sofas. If anyone can tell me he did, I'll upload an image for verification.
Thanks.
Bel Geddes' daughter was a pretty important actress.
She supported Irene Dunne in the 1947 film, "I Remember Mama", which she was nominated for an Academy Award. She was Richard Widmark's wife in the 1949 film, "Panic In The Streets", and was featured in Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo". She would've done more except she was blacklisted in the early 1950's.
By the way, Anne Baxter was Frank Lloyd Wright's granddaughter.
