I recently inherited a matching set of 3 table lamps and one floor lamp with solid nickel bases (I assume solid, as there are no signs of tarnish or pitting on any of them). There are no identifying marks on any of them. As a possible clue, they are in a room of mostly Knoll furniture and would originally have been purchased in the 1950s or 60s.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on the origin.
Thanks, Gary

well
I really don't have much to go on but was looking at the pair of the table lamps. Maybe they are Nessen......Are you sure there are no engraved marks? Look up around the shaft at the level of the bulb housings.

Bernard Buffet leaning against the wall?

Thanks
jdip, thanks, I'll take a look around the bulbs -- that's the only place I didn't examine closely. (I would have looked already in response to your suggestion, but the furniture is in a different city from where I live).
Thanks again for the helpful suggestion, I really appreciate it.

Buffet?
Riki, if it is a Buffet, it is a reproduction, which I assume is not worth much.

Solid Nickel?
SDR, the truth is that I have no idea what I am talking about. I am assuming the lamps are nickel only because they are about 50 years old and there is no sign of wear, patination, pitting, etc. As for solid, I just assumed that even nickel plate would have pitted by now, but that is most definitely complete guesswork.

Plated steel
or brass which has not been abused (left in a damp basement or out-of-doors, etc) needn't show any sign of degradation at all. I suspect your lovely lamps were well-cared-for. They sure are nice . . .
