Does anyone know if George Nelson did fireplace tools for Pilgrim? I see them being sold as Nelson as often as not (maybe more), but I know how attributions can mutate into "fact". I would love to know of a positive reference, but that is probably asking a bit much. Thanks

I guess that will be
your lesson learned. You apparently could have made some good money off of it if you were interested in being less that diligent with your attribution (see one elsewhere, and take the attribution as fact). I don't think I would be laughing. :0

I am against wrongly attributing items :/ seriouslyyyy. Ive emailed several ebay listers who were doing it but the fact that someone made 500 bucks off it when i saw it in the thrift store awhile back is kinda painful especially as a broke college student.

I was kidding
of course. I have no interest in selling out my standards, and I assume you don't either. That is why when I ask for an ID here, I often ask for a source. And on the subject at hand, I am imagining that it is possible that They are Nelson. Pilgrim has been around that long and Nelson did design for others besides Herman and Howard Miller. On the other hand, There is nothing wrong with saying "in the style of" when you sell. And I hear you about the broke college student thing. You couldn't imagine how many years I was in your shoes. I just finished my master's three years ago and I already have "a serious case of old". The quote is from Futurama.
