Need to replace rubber guides for sliding buffet door

Hi,
One sliding door to a dansk (?) buffet that my parents bought in the seventies will no longer stay in place. The guides that hold the door in place on the top have broken in half. It seems it should be simple to find a material to replace them with, but it appears they need to be flexible enough to bend so the door can be inserted but rigid enough to hold the door firmly once in place.
The material appears to be a stiff rubber about 5 mm wide.
Does anyone have any advice for me on what to use and where I can find it?

In the past I have seen high density fiberboard (masonite) or aircraft grade birch plywood used for these tabs. And you don't insert the door after installing the tab. You set the tab and door in place and then you screw the tab to the door. It is a bit awkward, but entirely possible.

Thanks for that idea. Those materials would be more rigid than the original, but I'll give it a try. In terms of screwing them in I guess I would just need to screw in one piece and then slide the doors so I can access the other. I can see how that could work.
