Hi,
I've been tr
I found this screenprint a while ago and really liked it. I have had it for quite some time now and I have been unable to identify the artist. It was made in 1972 and from what I can make out, the title of this piece is "Brown Circle" and artist reads something like Alde K Feliti.
It's very interesting when looked at close. There are layers of inks that aren't visible at first glance using gloss and matte varnishes along the rim of the circle. There is a gradient and a pink rim and the circle is actually brown, not black.
It was found in USA, near San Francisco, CA. Any help with the ID would be much appreciated.
It needs to be flattened
and properly reframed. You might consider anti-reflective glazing. The piece looks professionally done and, since you like it, would be worth restoring. It really has suffered in that frame.
Sorry I can't help with attribution. You could try sending the image to art schools and/or galleries near where you acquired it. Professional appraisers will cost you.
