I Posted a thread a couple weeks ago about a table I had purchased and whether I should refinish it or not. Well the table arrived yesterday and it's stunning. Any thought of refinishing it instantly went away when I saw it.
This thing is flawless! I can't imagine how a table survives 50+ years with virtually no sign of wear. Even the two leaves have the same level of patina and match perfectly. I can only assume the table sat in someone's formal dining room with both leaves in it and was used rarely.
The under side of the table and leaves are both marked with a hand written #55. I'm assuming that means this was the 55th table of this style made.
The chairs are just cheap chairs left over from our previous table. They'll do for now until we find the perfect vintage set.

That's a good question. I don't really know what kind of chairs I'm looking for.
I was thinking maybe I'll just take my time and look for a good deal on some hans wegner chairs someday or maybe grab a set of Broyhill Brasilia chairs if I see them on craigslist anytime soon.
