James, I'm glad you posted this one...
It allows me to ask the pros one of my favorite kinds of questions here: in aesthetic and functional terms, what are the pros and cons of doing the long legs on the end vertical (and parallel to the short legs and the other vertical lines of the table) vs. doing the legs visibly out of vertical.
In terms of design aesthetics and function what do you get and what do you give up with these two approaches to the legs?
Looking forward to the usual rich insights.

right vs left handed
All the versions of this McCobb desk I've seen had the drawers on the left, legs right. Was it made the other way?
