Markings on an eames ea 107

Hi
I've got a quick question
I'm thinking about buying a leather EA 107 from this guy who claims it's all original
But the only vitra markings on the chair are a sticker(the black vitra / eames sticker) on the black part of the base.
Is this correct shouldn't there be any markings in the metal and or tags attached to the leather
please advise
PS I'm trying to get some pictures forwarded from him so I can attach them to this tread

The chair looks completely original.
There should be some impressed numbers just underneath the curved metal section which meets the first part of the stem.
