And then something went terribly wrong and it was though I had been possessed by something ghastly and strange...

Not all of MCM boat design was stellar. Here is my vote for the most "visually challenged" boat of all time.

I rode in an amphicar once when a little boy...
It simultaneously filled me with joy and the sense that I was in an open coffin about to fill with water.
And then there is the flying hover craft boat...

and last but not least...
the flying submarine from the TV show "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" with Richard Basehart and his exec officer and eunuch, David Hedison; this brings us back to boats. 🙂
