Does anyone know of a good desk designed for floor sitting?

I've come to prefer sitting on the floor when working on my laptop. I'm considering buying an inexpensive wooden coffee table and sawing off the legs if I can't find a good desk/work space.

i'd
just do what you suggested. Hunt around for a decent coffee table and then get out the saw. I am looking at 2 nice coffee tables right now (in my living room) that I just tried sitting in front of with a pillow and my laptop and both seemed decent. The slightly higher one was more comfortable as a work surface. The fun part of course is hunting for the right table

Ikea - Vika System
Well, in that case I'm considering an Ikea system that offers legs and tops separately. One advantage is I can tailor the height, and I can replace a leg if I screw up the sawing.

Are there really people who prefer sitting on the floor? Just the thought makes my back hurt 😉 That said, how about a Japanese dining table?

Beautiful...
I'd love to have *that* table, but I can't find it for sale anywhere. Apparently (as you may know) it's called the Zataku dining table by Hara Design. But for the life of me I can't find a single place where it's for sale--just blogs posting pics and descriptions.
But I will look for other Japanese tables.
