Ole Wanscher designed two settees for France and Son. I have had model #fd 109/2 for a few years now and like it a lot. It has spring cushions for good support and hidden keyhole joint construction for easy breakdown and transportation.
I got it for around six hundo on eBay.

(Grumble)
Define what your needs are, or at least describe (photograph) the context in which the thing will be placed. Otherwise, the question is pointless.
Interior decoration doesn't work well using the 'totally random' approach.
See a local professional for a consultation if you are a fish flopping on the deck.
Or just get this one, it's a classic. Faaaabulous.
Info
Can't provide a photo right now as the space has not been created/filled yet. Really I am just looking for ideas at this point, as I'm sure there are plenty of designs that I don't know about (particularly vintage Danish and reasonably priced contemporary options). One of the advantages of modern design is that many objects go well together, either in their similarity or contrast, as we are all well aware. I do take a rather random yet thoughtful approach to decorating, and I have been satisfied with the results thus far.
Some potential ideas (not necessarily within desired price range):
Risom lounge settee
Borge Mogensen BM2212
Hovmand-Olsen
Arne Vodder (Glostrup)
cdsilva, thanks for your post. That is definitely along the lines of what I'm considering.

Hmmm. Vintage danish sofas are a bit hard to come by. I have two Grete Jalk for France and Daverkosen 3 seat sofas (one with teak arms and one with upholstered arms), and I am very happy with both of them, and they get daily use. Look for anything by France and Daverkosen, perhaps.
.
Have something made? Sounds like there is a bit to spend.
I'm tired so can't pull many names or websites (theres one called customade or something like that) out of the grey matter right now but there is this (Lord Godfrey, more of a bench), Shawn Place or check out the fine woodworking gallery for any number of makers.
Maybe an old bit of Ercol, thats fairly affordable. Or you could have my Barber Osgerby benches, free, just come take them.

Woody, there is currently a nice Kindt-Larsen France Daverkosen settee on eBay (model #117/2), similar in size/shape to my Wanscher settee. I was considering bidding on it myself, except for the late revelation from the seller that there is a corrugated fastener hammered into one of the joints (photo now uploaded to the listing).
The current bid is still reasonable even with the repair, and watch count is only at 4. There are a few mis-spellings in the listing so it may take a couple of searches to find it.
And sorry if you are already one of the 4 watchers, and I just cast a spotlight on this auction, but no PM function on this site.
