cdsilva, I think it's racecar here, but I'm familiar with sidecar's site--nice work there!
Now that I think about it, i think his way is better. I remember the cane tending to get a slight kink in the edge when I tried to cross it over above the horizontal strands, but I bet if it gets pushed up into place gradually the kinking will be minimized or eliminated.

Speaking of can weave. I just picked up these Borge Mogensen chairs and a teak dining table.

Recently got these un-used Hans Agne Jakobsson sconces with original Amber bulbs and shades. Best part, still in the straw filled Illums Bolighus box. The box still has the original shipping and customs labels.

Just picked up this lovely Kroken de Lux chair and ottoman by Ake Fribytter, the leather has been worn nicely and it's so comfortable! It wasn't very cheap but still good value, more importantly I wanted it!

Nice chairs Modenfamile, I was at that garage sale. My folks live up the street. Small world! Couldn't place the designer of those chairs. Knowledge is power. However we did walk away with a couple moller 83's in teak, Westnofa rosewood wastebasket, And various Jens Dansk pieces. Nice to know who designed those. Everything in that house was really well taken care of. We will enjoy the stuff we got for a long time.

That's quite a garage sale; doubly nice if the items were at garage sale prices.
Any photos of your haul?

The gentleman was a retired architect. I Always loved the the house, was happy to get to see the inside. The family kept all the Hermann miller stuff lounge chair , various fiberglass chairs. Prices were super reasonable and they were great people. It was a good day. I will post some pics. just may take a little bit.

bought this on ebay believe it or not. Was looking for some sculpture for the outside of the house. It's about 17" tall and heavy. I think it is quite well done and has great presence. Not too expensive, either. Made the trip from Florida to Oregon in one piece, although the box was beat to heck

I bought a C. Jere "Birds in Flight" wall sculpture and I'm trying it out in an awkward space between a low couch and a high window. [It's temporarily propped up with my John LeCarre paperback book.]

Nice find! But it needs a lot more space around it, in my opinion.

Two Gainey planters from a sidewalk sale just down the street.
AC-14 (14" tall by 15" diameter)
AC-16 (16" tall by 17.5" diameter)

It's been a long time. Distracted by my full time job. Came across this...Helmut Magg writing desk. It looks nice, but it's top heavy. Needs some veneer on the back replaced - I think the owners probably ripped it off, when dragging the desk down the stairs to the driveway.
