I picked up this Poul Hundevad style nesting table set today. I'm not sure who made it! It seems to be teak veneer over possibly oak or elm, but I'm not sure! There's a faint "Made in..." mark but I can't make it out.it needs work, but I like it.

Reamie,
The reason you like the nesting set is obvious. Very nice. I am not a true fan of wood furniture, but 100% form and function are always an exception. Congratulations on your acquisition.

My latest acquisition is a gift from the artist (retired watercolorist Elaine Holien, who is my dearest friend). Whilst not the biggest fan of South West art, I do like her style. I'll hang them in my home in the Mid West. The matting is perfect (shrink wrapped). I'm thinking of a medium hefty simple wood frame in a lighter tone, and keeping the existing matting...or should I go with a darker wood? Or? different matting, or just have a drink?
Best,
Your Aunt Mark

Thanks Niceguy! They're going to be lightly sanded and used regularly!

About a month ago, I was in a local antique shop and spotted a Cado Royal System in the back that they were using for display. Hidden in a corner, attached to one of the rails was an original Cado task light (aluminum shade) with the specialized bracket that attaches to the holes in the rails. To make a long story short, it took multiple trips to the store--to convince them to take down the cabinet that enabled them to remove the light. Now, I have a task light for one of my wall units 🙂 Patience paid off.

Reamie,
Nice little set of nesting tables. Here is the Makers Mark for Poul Hundevad. When I see this style of nesting tables I always think of Bertha Schaefer.

Thanks for that Peruche! Im pretty sure mine are not Poul Hundevad, but Bertha Schaefer seems close to the mark! My father saw them this morning and fell in love with them, so I don't think I'll get to keep them, they'll make a lovely present once they're cleaned up!

Picked up a cute little coffee table by local Bay Area artist Wyatt Ellison. Really stunning in person.
niceguy – I'll provide the coffee and the table. You bring the mugs 😉

I found this gorgeous little wall mounted floating telephone table in solid rosewood and rosewood veneer today. Maybe it was part of a pair, bedside tables perhaps? It's got the Danish Furnituremakers Control stamp burned into it but no other markings. I love it and no one is getting it as a present! It's going to be put in the wall this weekend in the hall!
