Found this Kipp Stewart declaration for Drexel 3 drawer dresser. In superb shape. All original hardware was there and even the original shipping label brail card was inside a drawer. No watermarks on top
And to top it off I found a aluminum group side table for a few bucks (ugly square white top) a stack of Russell wright dishes and a blenko water pitcher
Nice! Now if you're really lucky, you'll come across a red Købenstyle pot with a white lid and you can reunite them.
I got another of those big 18" round teak trays, the thin ones painted black on the back and edge. I've seen them labeled Made in Sweden and Made in Japan--this one has no label but I don't care, I just really like them. Of course I already have two (and that's after giving one to my son). It was only a few dollars so what the heck!
I have a fine collection of those THIN, black edged teak trays as well. Round, oval and square. Something about them just works for me. And yes, some marked Sweden, most marked Japan (those that are marked). I have a tray problem in general.
Amazing find on the Cathrineholm! I see so little of those.
This thread got me thinking to pop back in today after my Cathrineholm find and I'm happy I did.
Just found a Muurame Moduli 2 drawer unit by Pirkko Stenros. Had never heard of her or the line. Seems appropriate to bring more attention to this wonderful lady who has been around since the 50s. I love finding new female designers who seem to go under the radar.
The piece looked well traveled and loved by some kids. Probably some great stories. And thank God for magic erasers.
