These vintage brushed wheelcaps for my Saab 900 classic. Need a little cleaning but other than that, over the moon!

@ bj, Very nice! How long have you been looking for those? I have always liked the Saab 900.

Well, I found one along the road (I hope this isn't a bad omen..) and liked it very much. They aren't that rare, but they soon fetch around 100-150 $ for a set.I bought these for 20.

Happened upon this thing today for what seems like a reasonable price. Any ideas on how to date production based on the label? Leather has seen it's day but I rather like the worn appearance of it and won't be rushed to have it recovered. Thoughts?

I like the grand-daddy SAAB 99 -- a pretty little "boat" (not to be confused with Agent 99 !).  I had two early 93s, not to be confused with the much more recent 93.
The wheel covers are like a cross betwen the '36 Cord and the '57 Plymouth -- two styling triumphs, if you ask me.  Congratulations !

From the local Goodwill Bins/Outlet, a wall clock by "Washington Clock Works", which was a clock company that was based in Washington State.  Made of wood, with a working German battery movement and a nice Helvetica face.  I am guessing it is from the early 70's.

Aunt Patina- should I leave the brass dull?
They're just a hair over 8 inches and that's about all I know about them.

tchp.
I have a weakness for clocks
I love that clock
I bought a clock today but it isn't as cool as your clock so I will leave it un-acknowledged.
I did buy 5 knives for my EXACT stainless pattern at a thrift store today, and I need knives (tons of everything else).  What, I ask, are the odds?

Nice candlesticks, muehlebach.  Yes, they should be left as is; the reflections suggest that the finish is fine, and that the color is as intended -- something like a statuary bronze.
Some years ago I lost a pair of Robert Jarvie candlesticks like the one in the center of this illustration.  They are Arts and Crafts classics, with a color similar to yours.  Adding to the sorrow over the theft was the knowledge that, in all liklihood, the dark patina would be polished off by the ignorant thief -- greatly reducing their value.

Thanks SDR. Sorry about your stolen candlestick. I was guessing they should be left alone. It seems like polished brass is inconsistant in color when tarnished and this brass is consistant everywhere.

That's nice, and a great fabric and color choice.

Some teaser pics my upholsterer sent me - I bought this Jens Risom sofa, my personal favorite, in a sad state and decided to go all out and have it redone in some nice Hallingfal #368 fabric. Check out the before pic!
I also splurged on a rare copy of the full Risom catalog "The  Answer is Risom"
