Very happy with a discount...
Very happy with a discount Sunday estate sale pickup of a Johannes Andersen CFC Silkeborg rosewood tea cart. It's been a good month for rosewood carts, as I picked up a Hundevad three-tier one a few weeks ago.
This one is in excellent condition, and after a quick clean, oil, and wax, has some of the most stunning rosewood grain pattern that I've seen.

that wood is so lovely, cdsilva!
Yesterday morning I stumbled into my favorite little charity resale, and had this 300 pound white urn delivered by 4 sweat-hogs. I know it's not MCM, but I like to mix things up a bit. This urn seems kind of old. Now I'm off to the plant store.
Best,
Aunt Overscale

Yearning for an Urn-ing. (Urn baby, Urn)
To yearn for your urn is a delight
But my feelings are having a fight
Because one day I'll be in an urn
After burn, crush, burn
I'll turn a powdery off-white.

Bravo ChairLove!
I want my cremains to be fed to the poor Manatees and skinny chickens. I loved your poem.
Always,
Aunt Mark

Dear Aunt Mark,
I believe your lamp was made by Italian company Luce Plan and the model is called Constanzina

Thank you Epoca!
You are correct, it does say Luce Plan made in italy on the bottom. I misread it.
I kinda like it.
Best,
Aunt Mark

Nice abstract paintings robert1960
They almost look like encaustic wax from here. I like anonymous paintings.
Mark, very nice corner of white surfaces that you are accumulating there.
(I drew giant urns for a few years, but they were black)

For all the book/typography...
For all the book/typography fans- I just found "A Manual of Alphabet Styles" from Photo Lettering Inc., from 1955. Amazing and rare typography reference for $4 at a local thrift shop 🙂

Teak? Coffee Table
Traded a friend for this. He said Dux and teak. I don't doubt him but am having a hard time finding anything. Anyone seen it? Heavy, and huge.
