My wife will be surprised at her gift this Christmas, the Gianni Arnaudo, Déjeuner sur l'Arbre limited edition table for Gufram, I purchased at Stardust Modern.
Would you expect anything less from the owner of Piero Gilardi, Sassi rocks and the Guido Drocco & Franco Mello, Cactus coat rack for Gufram.
I still desire the Giorgio Ceretti, Pratone and Studio 65 Colonna chaise lounge seating and table for Gufram. Maybe I will "get lucky" next Christmas (or a possible birthday gift).
Merry Christmas to all forum members.
I was given these by some
dear friends. I love them. They're of recent manufacture and still available though not on the manufacturer's site (&Tradition, Copenhagen). They're heavy steel with a glossy enamel or powdercoated finish.
The icing on the cake is that the original tag was still attached and the business is or was based in Fredensborg, the tiny town north of Copenhagen where we lived for a year.
Temde type 314 lamp
Here are some pictures of a Temde lamp that I acquired from a seller in Amsterdam recently. Apologies for the poor quality of the pics; they are phone snaps and the lamp is now wrapped up until christmas day: See the link to the original ebay listing below to see some better shots.
The diameter of the shade is 50cm and the wooden ceiling cone conceals a neat pulley system whereby the height of the lamp can be adjusted. Not entirely sure what the wood is and the shade material is probably linen. The pegs can be pulled out to (presumably) facilitate removal of the "handle" and changing of the bulb.
I understand Temde was a Swiss/German company that went out of business in the 80's; not sure of the exact date for this lamp but I am thinking late 60's/early 70's. If anyone has any more info about this light I would be very grateful to receive it.

Hi Spanky. I believe your beautiful candleholders are by MENU and not &Tradition.

odd vs. even
*spanky*
Your logic of the "odd" assertion by M_Andersen regarding the purveyor of this piece appears correct.
It remains "even" better that you have friends who choose to give you a gift that has meaning and place in your home.
The question of the "original tag" does not seem to have the same significance as the gesture.
All your prior postings (reading between the lines) indicate that you would be grateful for your friends and thankful for their generosity not the provenance of their gifts.
Nice candlesticks
Merry Christmas

A Karl Erik Ekselius teak dining table for JO Carlsson, Sweden. Got it because it is a very nicely made table, even though it is unmarked. Took a few days to figure out who designed and made it.
Need to clean and oil it and it'll be my new office table.
