Over 100 on the last post, so starting a new one here. This is a weekend thrift find of mine. Marcello Fantoni lamp, in perfect condition, which I was able to bring home for a whopping $3.90! I was beyond ecstatic.

Brass tables and mirrored cabinet
Picked these up last week
Cabinet is a DIY but is a cheap stand in for an Ello
The tables are beefy nice thick glass

I could've owned this:
a beautiful sideboard by Bodil Kjaer, executed in rare wengé.
Was already sold when I saw it advertised on dutch Marktplaats site (for 500 euro).
I need some time recuperating my loss...

Mocht je interesse hebben, is een veilinghuis in Brussel, heeft vaak modernistisch design en kunst. Ik zet de link even hieronder.
Ik merk wel dat de stukken ook steeds hogere prijzen halen..

I don't know if this can be considered mid century by this forum's standards (maybe 1940s?), but it's so amazing I just had to share it. Talk about nice legs!

Yes, it's a CL buy
I bought it just a few days ago. And the top is a thick mahogany veneer. There are no markings, so I haven't a clue as to who made it.

Extraordinary table!
Yes, has a real 30s/40s Surrealist vibe about it.
Would be surprised if it isn't a designer piece.
(I've searched squiggle, tadpole and err.. sperm.. to no avail) 😉
