We are thinking about picking these up. Who designed these and when were they in production. Could they have been prototype chairs? They have a slit that is reminiscent of Hans Bellman. What do you think community?

Great chairs! If the price was right, I'd snag them in a second. There's a set of six of a similar stacking version that's been on ebay for a while now.

Wow! A stacking version. I remember seeing these with the split seats, but I didn't know that the feature provided for stacking.

ebay find
They sold today on ebay for 199. Great set of 8..... I opted for Eero S. set of 4 chairs for the same price. The owners worked for knoll and were selling off their goods. I was so confused on which ones to buy...... No one else was bidding, however, I figure that myself and the other auction winner are content with our wins. Here is the picture of the set that I purchased.
