I purchased 2 Knoll Flat Bar chairs at an estate sale. They appear to be stainless steel (magnet falls off and no pitting or peeling anywhere). One of the chairs has a Made for Knoll/Flat bar etc paper label stapled to the underside, and it appears authentic. The other chair (identical) has no label and The underside cloth is torn.
It seems that knoll and others describe these chairs as either: chrome, or chrome plated, or chrome plated steel, or metal chrome, or 100% stainless steel.
My questions:
What is the difference between all of these descriptions?
Are all Knoll flat bar chairs 100% stainless?
Does the missing label on one change the desirability or value as a pair? Or should I try to authenticate it further?
I'm pretty new to this! Thanks for your help. The chairs are in a different location now but I can check details/ad pics in a few days.
