Hello all,

I am interested in finding more information about Laurids Lønbørg from Denmark. I have seen numerous pieces but all without any background information on the company.

Among those pieces I've seen teak candle holders, toothpick holders, figurines, ice buckets, iron candle holders, some work even on fabric like place mats, oven gloves, etc.

Interested in finding information about the years this company was around, if there were more than one designer working on it, etc.

I know there are some pieces here ever but again no background information. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The URL/web link in this thread goes to a piece from Etsy that has a couple designers attributed, they are Lena and Al Eklund but I wonder if they just did the illustrative work.

Thanks,
Caco

I wish I knew something - I'd like to know more myself. But can't pass the opportunity to post my cute Laurids Lonberg fish-shaped crumb sweeper!

I don't know much about the company either, but here's a nice little orb piece that I just picked up from ebay.

Nice
Gene, I was actually going to put your image in this post. Saw your little sweeper image on flickr. Thanks for posting it.
Timyoung, that piece you picked up is very interesting, never seen it. Quite a sculpture. Do the balls move around?
I just picked up those teak candle holders above.
If anyone else has Laurids Lonborg stuff, post your images here. Thanks to those who did btw.
So as you can see there was a wide range of items that Laurids Lønborg produced. I doubt it was just one designer for all of it.

Caco
The balls do move, but only because they're loose. I'll probably secure them somehow when I decide where exactly they should be.

woodywood -- regarding the mill
i have a very similar one, but the top is solid (no metal hardware as in the pic of yours). curious if yours is a peppermill and salt and/or what the hardware at top is for. also, do you know anything about the different derivations of the two?
