I have a free-standing set of (only) the shelves pictured on page 171 of "Contemporary" by Lesley Jackson. They are secured to the wall with two vertical iron grids that stick out from the wall - four shelves with articulated hooked hardware rest on the grid at adjustable spaces.

The caption only mentions Franck's tableware, but gives no explanation on the wall unit or table.

I sent the image to a source on Scandinavian design, and he seemed to think the furniture in the photo was also by Kaj Franck.

I wonder if he may have been confused by my question...

Does anyone out there have an opinion or source of information I can use to ID these? Obviously, they are unmarked.

If it seems relevant, I'll send photos of the shelves.

Still in production, right?
I wonder how rare vintage pieces are?
I know nothing about Strinning.

Vintage String shelves
Still somewhat easy to come by in Sweden and, perhaps, in Germany at least.

Although they look similar,...
Although they look similar, Ladderax and Sring are different systems. Robert Heal's Ladderax is later than Strinning's String

And surely this abberation, missplacement and misrepetition of words: "we're about at we're talking about at SHELF unit" is far more offensive to the English language than making one spelling mistake

No, this forum in not...
No, this forum in not ENGLISH, it is INTERNATIONAL.
Which means that a lot of people on this forum try very hard in a language that is not their own - and make some spelling and grammar mistakes along the way. English is my third language. Would you care to type messages in your third language, and be berated every time you made a single mistake ?
If the answer is yes, please do try to take up the challange. You are very welcome to write all of your posts in French/ Dutch from now on (DA is originally BELGIAN after all). We will berate you every time you make a mistake. Now, would that not be fun ?
If the answer is no, go easy on the people making a mistake. Okay, there is no harm in correcting an error, but please go easy in tone, people are not necessarily airheads for making an error. (You do never know whether the OP is an old lady, trying very hard in her best English to ask a question.)
Honestly, I do appreciate the international nature of the forum (it broadens my outlook), and I am quite happy to speak/ write English. I do appreciate everyone else's efforts to communicate in one single language. I do believe people should be appreciated for their effort to communicate in another language (even if they make an occasional mistake), not berated because they have not reached perfection in that other language.
And, in case it was not yet obvious, I actually feel quite strongly about this one.
