I saw this coat rack
it's tubes are made out of chromed (very old looking) metal
Half way through you have a wooden cylindrical support
and a white marble base
Is this something special or not worth a second glace

Don't know a designer. I would guess it was a non-designer piece (meaning not by Eames, Wegner, etc). I have done my fair share of research for MCM coat racks and haven't come across this piece, but I quite like the looks of it. It's hard to find nice MCM free-standing coat racks. I just don't like the style of most of them. That one is decent looking though. What really matters if you like the piece. If you like the piece and it fits with your decor, then go for it...depending on price, that is. What are they asking for it?

I like it. It fits in with...
I like it. It fits in with what I already have going on as a scheme. It is in my price range. If I needed a coat rack I would buy it.

Thank you for the response I'm in Austria at the moment (zillertal) and Will be back next week.So i'll try to get a deal on the coat rack I Will keep you guys posted. Btw does anyone have any good vintage adresses in and around Zillertal.
