They would have been but...
They would have been but they were "supposedly" sold but haven't been picked up for a week and a half and are just sitting outside.
I'm contemplating my next move but thought I might have the time to do a little research and see what the forum has to say about them.
The wood arms on both have some damage (added some pics) and one of the chairs has a broken leg and not even attached. Fabric is getting ratty as well on both.
What is it with,,,
What is it with dogs and chair arms, they just can't resist a good old chew. Picked up more than a few chairs where the owner has laughed that dear old Fido had a nibble! Baffles. Train your dogs people (I would have put that last sentence in all caps, but it's too early for shouting).
Hoopsie - I thought so too....
Hoopsie - I thought so too. Of course it's not but I was intrigued by the similarities with the tweed, the teak and the latticed bottom.
Abelian- I love dogs but couldn't agree more. I have no idea what the restoration work would cost for something like this.
Update: Strangely enough, the chairs were pulled from outside and put up no more than an hour or so after my first visit. I went back to persuade the guy to sell them to me or leave my info if things fell through. Another guy who helps out or something was the one who'd been sitting on them and when I sparked interest he finally decided to move them from out front. Asked what they went for and he said, "umm...i don't know....i guess..like $10.00." Ugh.
Still hope for an ID though.
so happy...
I am so happy to know there is a member of this forum living in my town!! I saw those chairs this past Friday while dropping off stuff from the garage. I too took pictures just to see if I could find out what and who..... The owner told me also that the buyer had not returned to retrieve them. I couldn't get too excited about them with all that damage to the wood though. I was thinking wood rats....creepy in Sequim.
similar
It looks similar to this one that is going to auction.
