Glad to hear that someone else hates that marshmallow sofa.
For the life of me I can't figure out why some people like that ugly thing. It can't be comfortable either, right?

Marshmallow comfortable?
We have picked apart the comfort factor on most classic chair designs over the past couple of years.
So I must ask, is the Marshmallow sofa eye candy or does it sit as well as its name would suggest?
Given of course that purple would be the most luxurious of seating colors.

Actually, not bad
The marshmallow is not UNcomfortable. You would not want to hang out and watch a movie on one. But to sit and chat , it's just fine. It is quite small in scale, and of course armless. The cushions are close enough together that the gaps are not problematic. The vintage marshmallows had the legs set in a bit more than the reproduction. This can be a problem if you sit on the outside edge.

Definitely hate yellow
I think we should all eschew all color in favor of black and white. We should push things as far as we can into one category or another, with little tolerance for shades of grey, and certainly none of this primary color nonsense. And no pattern either - lest it look like a Manhattan socialites Park Avenue penthouse with zebra-skin and leapord print and cow-hide. All things in solid matte black and matte white. What a peaceful and simple world that would be.
The picture below is a good step in the right direction, except for the infernal distraction of that brown dog and the obvious error in placing artwork on the wall. Even the wood for the fireplace should be hidden.
