I was excited to find a 2012 thread covering the very question I have. I used the same title hoping to attract similar interest and knowledge about Grete Jalk furniture.
The table has some stenciled information, as shown. The legs are splayed and the ends are upturned, but there are no stickers or markings of any other kind. There are no screws or nails visible on the piece. I read that some look-a-likes have the Robertson screws. Might this piece be an original? Any help would be appreciated.

missus,
I wouldn't call the table you have a replica, but rather... a vintage coffee table, many of that era in a similar "surfboard" style as was popular at the time, not necessarily directly copying anybody:-)
Comparing an image of a Grete Jalk table (shown below) to yours, it's easy to spot the differences.
Yours looks American made in my opinion..
added: (shown below) for clarity
American made? I think you're right!
Thank you, Solange, for your response. After looking at tables that are originals, I believe you are correct in your opinion. One major difference is the magazine rack spools are round on my table; they tend to be flat on an original. The splayed legs are more subtle on a jalk. Thank you!
