bogdan:
Hope you get answers to your query.
What *I* want to know is: HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO POST YOUR PICTURES ????
Can you reveal your secret ? I'd love to be able to do the same (having finally equipped myself to do so on other sites). . .

Dear SDR,
This is how you can post images so that they appear directly on the Forum:
Step 1: You have to post the picture on a free server.
Most providers offer this service. Some specialised image hosting websites like Flickr also offer free and very practical service.
Step 2: Place the following code between exactly where you want your image to appear in your text.
a href="http://www.yourservername.com/yourimagefile/yourimagename.jpg" target="_blank"
Hope this helps.

Posting pictures here in forum
SDR I was not ignoring you ..just away for a bit.
The way I posted the pics of my lamp here is by going to www.photobucket.com joining. Then when you import your pics, there is a window at the bottom that lets you convert your pics into almost any format....{handy for e bay also}..but on ebay you can not enlarge the pics like you can here...anyways back to the task at hand..Once you converted I just clicked and coppied the top window and posted it in my forum description .I hope this will help.
Thats what we are for amuse ourselfs and help if we can.

Thanks --
I just missed a couple of things. What format did you choose -- JPEG ? And what is the "forum description" -- your message ? (Sorry to be so dense -- and thanks for the help !)

Sorry SDR
My mistake! The right code is:
img src="http://www.yourserver.com/yourimage.jpeg"
You have to place at the end.
I also made a test with photobucket as recommended by Bogdan. It's indeed very easy and practical because the image appears in a small format with the possibility to enlarge it when you click on it.
Here is your image:

Bogdan's lamp
This lamp is close to some models designed and produced by Beisl Leuchten, W. Germany in the late sixties.
Anybody else has an idea?

Thanks
Patrick -- I'll try that.
And, sorry to have hijacked Bogdan's thread for my own purposes !
