I found a signed Heywood Wakefield black leather/wood lounge chair and ottoman in near mint condition, it looks to me to be similar to the the Eames style leather chair and ottoman...There's a picture on the internet of one exactly like the one I found, but it gave no approximate price in value. Anyone know approx. how much these two pieces, together, are worth today in US dollars? And can anyone tell me what year(s) this chair/ottoman was/were made? Thanks!
I saw one for sale recently...
in a small antique shop in a small Oregon coastal town for $250. It was missing one button in the seat back. Otherwise it was in very good condition. Wished I hadn't been flying home, because I would have liked to have bought it. Never found one on Ebay to compare it to.
Thats the one...
I live in Coos Bay, Oregon, and the one I'm refering to is THAT one you're refering to. I want to know if it's worth the buy. I found that exact chair on a past Ebay auction which sold for $450 or so, and I know the Eames chairs are worth much $$$ more. Just wanted to know...
I went to the local library and tried doing research. Did come up with phone numbers to several 50's atomic furniture dealers back east who told me it's most likely mid to late 60's, but I wish I knew more.
HAHA, I'm gonna steal it away from you! 😉 Sorry... 😉
