Hello forum,
You've always managed to help out in identifying my second hand finds so hope you can help with this standard lamp.
No makers mark on it.
The thick column is made from copper with a textured/ etched surface and is pretty heavy.
I think (although I may be wrong) that the timber cross at the base is a later addition to give it more stability.
I bought it from a junk shop in south east London if that is of any help.
Many thanks in advance!

As such, and
taking into account the shapes of the remaining elements, I'd say this could be a one-off or home-built object -- albeit a competently crafted one. An experienced designer would have chosen either a cross-shaped foot or a disc-shaped base, rather than the indecisive combination we see here -- in my opinion.
Still, a nice and unique object !
