Help needed with ID of a Norman Foster style table

Herman Miller etc. cultists aside, most people don't care what brand their furniture is or who originally sketched it or any of that. Obviously I understand why you would want to have this information, but I think you could probably make whatever (reasonable) amount you need to make on it by describing it's qualities alone, the sheer weight of it, the attention to detail in its design, the fine everlasting materials etc.
Somewhat non sequitorly, I'm reminded of a book geared toward insurance salesmen or something I once picked up that had a lengthy script for a "Ben Franklin Close" that involved a convoluted story about the ethics and moral turpitude and fearless something or other of Ben Franklin and how good ol' Ben Franklin relates to this whizz bang insurance plan or whatever it is the reader's selling, the SALES GUY on the cover had a necktie with the biggest knot ever, I know that doesn't help you any but

It looks like a one off that an engineering or architects office had made, the spiders look like off the shelf componenets for connecting glass panels.
But I don't really know.

Yes, I think you might be right but I seem to recall having seen it somewhere else in a book a while back but just can't place it.

You may be thinking of the Burdick Group
... designed by Bruce Burdick and produced by Herman Miller.
While the Burdick tables did come with glass tops and architectural aluminum and steel bases, I think Heath made the right call.

Where does it come apart ?
Are the spiders glued to the glass, or is the glass loose ?

The spiders are connected to the glass. The 2 base pedestals are separate. Hope that helps. Any ideas are much appreciated!
