You're right !
It was designed and made by the Chas. Awesome Lamp and Trivet Co, Ltd., North Reading -- sometime in the 'sixties. . .
Those are leftover billiard balls, from a subsidiary that went kaput in the late 'fifties. Clever use of an available resource.

Geez O --
that's almost creepy -- the coincidences. I must have been channeling you today. . .
Really -- did he make a label that he used ? He didn't write that out by hand each time, did he ?

As for the Chandelier, I don't think this was made by a known
company or designer.

By Hand!
Every time, in his beautiful draftsman's print. I treasure all of my Dad's weird and wonderful creations. He's a very talented woodcrafter and he's got a sense of humor that would make the Monty Python cast laugh themselves silly.
Over the year's my dad has make a lucrative hobby of Nantucket Lightship baskets, completely from scratch. Scrimshaw jewelry, until his supply of vintage tooth and bone ran out. Antique clock repair, including wooden gears and machining of new brass ones. And finally models of sailing ships from the Clipper ship era, built from the original plans, no kits for him! One of them is on display at the Mystic Seaport Whaling Museum.

Wish'd my dad was more handy and had the time to teach me when I was a kid. He had a very white collar and a talent for pulling businesses out of bankruptcy. I have none of that money sense of his. He loves economics.

Yeah, I have my Dad to thank
for my ability to repair, build, create and be self-sufficient in most aspects of my life. I'm very grateful!
