I found this coffee table the other day...it seems like some type of faux Nakashima looking deal with Butterfly joints. The legs are kinda cool, look like birch and walnut? I cant find anything like it on the web...hope somebody can help. Thanks in advance

Whoever made it had tools that far outstripped his knowledge of the medium in which he was working. That lower apron board at the end of the table is an embarrassment. It is surprising that it has not yet caused visible damage to the table. Be cautious about changing the ambient humidity wherever you put this table. In fact now that it is no longer in its old ambient humidity level bad things may begin to happen.
