I found this lamp (missing the shade), it looks like an original Arco......except the reflector is not like any other I have seen. Can anyone tell me if they have seen one like this? The diameter of the reflector is too large to fit in a standard shade. I'm wondering if there was another type of shade/reflector made. The person who gave it to me said it was purchased in the 60's. She had it in her garage for years, & doesn't know where the shade is or what it looked like.
It looks to me like you need...
It looks to me like you need a piece or plastic in an O ring that sits over the white lugs but just forms a trim down the end of the pierced metal shade.
See below, the one on the left is a two part shade. The chrome reflector is attached permanently but the white plastic trim is removable.
Arco Shade
Thanks so much for your reply. That would make sense....I was wondering if that was actually the shade with a piece missing. The other problem is that it doesn't seem like there is any way to attach the shade to the arm. It's just hanging from the power cord? Wondering if there is another piece missing there? If anyone has any ideas on this please let me know....I'd love to get this figured out so I can actually use it!
Also, if anyone know how I can tell if this is an original Arco, please let me know....thank you!
