I thought I should share this website, their furniture is really beautiful and has such an interesting provenance!
Their pix didn't post well so you'll just have to follow the link below.
I agree, Olive--
that's really handsome stuff, I especially like the bookshelf pictured.
I'd be fascinated to know how they go about 'reclaiming' the lumber (d'ya suppose they simply dumpster dive?)
P.S. I've since googled to find out how one goes about reclaiming lumber. My question was naive, there're a multitude of businesses devoted to demolition scrap, some of whom offer it free for the asking:

I get a my wood from a tree...
I get a my wood from a tree surgeon round the corner, after they've been cut to a square baulk they go in old shipping container which he uses as a kiln so its good to go straight away,
He's got quite a good selection of different timbers only had oak off him up to now but its really nice stuff, i like the fact that its come from the local neighbourhood 🙂
Heart Pine
We have a friend/artisan who used to make beautiful furniture from reclaimed heart pine. He would buy old mill floor boards from the cotton mills that have shut down and replane them. The boards were so wide he could make a tabletop using only one or two pieces. Unfortunately, he chopped off three of his fingers last year so has stopped working but his tables were/are still highly collected in these parts.
