Hi,
I have a George Nelson Primavera cabinet that has a black plinth base instead of more common black block legs. Does anyone know when these plinth bases were used, and when they were discontinued?
Thanks!

The plynth option
was not listed in any of their catalogues, but it probably was an option - at additional cost - for a specific designer-coordinated installation.
Herman Miller worked with designers, architects and interior planners to adjust their standard furniture to suit the specific interior space.
For example, I own the typewriter stand with the drawers on the left (could be ordered left or right), BUT with a white formica top, which is not listed as being an option in any of their catalogues...must have been a special order to fit in with other white formica top pieces in that particular order. (My stand also has the rattan 'modesty panel' in excellent condition. No looking up skirts in that office!)

Very interesting - that...
Very interesting - that would explain why I've only seen in a handful of times. Thanks!
