I'm pretty close to giving up my near obsessive efforts to id this sofa table. The index has been scoured many times and my year books are sick of the sight of my tired eyes. Anyway I keep returning to the same blurry image from the index of a Grete Jalk for P. Jeppeson table - the one with the black extension. I am struck by what I see as the similarities in the legs - flat, elongated triangles effectively. And the overall proportions - quite long in the leg and with a generous overhang at each end. Obviously mine has no extension; it has a shelf, but the quality is excellent, certainly as good as any Jeppeson piece I've seen previously, but I have not seen another of this table, and I'm hoping someone may have. It did have a label at some point; a smallish rectangular shaped one - damn the label pickers, if only they'd been nail biters instead!
If anyone would be kind enough to cast a fresh pair of eyes over mine, and the image from the index and throw me a line - or else advise me to take a holiday/take up knitting/get some fresh air and leave it alone - I'd be most grateful.

heh, sometimes the "I give up" thought can be the best part of trying to solve a problem...throw your hands up and walk away, its probable that in a few months time when looking for something else a picture and refernece to it will turn up.
Have yout tried looking through this? Despite the front cover there are quite a few less common pieces identified in it.
Go and have a drink 🙂

Hi Heath, yeah, I have that book, and most of the yearbooks that went into it. I suppose you're right about having a break from it, a clever person would probably conclude that my obsession with this (an other pieces) might be indicative of an un-quiet mind. I will drink instead!

I am new to mid century, but when I saw your table I first thought simple Gio Pointi. Not unlike this one in some aspects...

Glad I could give you a possible lead. I'm trying to ID a sofa myself and believe me I know the madness. I've wasted too many evenings recently scouring through photos looking for something to give a hint to my couch's origins.
Since you've recently looked through yearbooks and other sources for your table, maybe a miracle could be produced and you could tell me you've seen this "making me OCD and ruining my eyes too" sofa in some of your recent research:

Sorry Cada I don't want to make the madness worse but does this help?
Perhaps you can contact them.

No shame!
Nah, my bumps are what kept my little thread alive and eventually resulted in an ID. No shame in a hope bump if it's been awhile, lots of people only check in every few days or weeks and if the threads not on the front page they might miss it.
Since this wonderful forum has now resulted in 2 solved mysteries for me, I'm going to devote 30 min of searching for your table tmrw in appreciation. I think the most difficult thing about your table is it's similar to so many sleek MCM wood coffee tables made. It's just the really small details that set it apart from 25 others, so it's a challenge but I hope the ID success spreads to you too. There is hope!
Cheers!
Apologies if these are...
Apologies if these are things you've already covered but I'm seeing tables produced by Mersman very similar to yours, enough to think they could be the producer.
also noticed this, I know there are differences. The little details like the flat tapered legs and overhang are great for trying to find an identical piece but then again something similar enough could well lead to the correct manufacturer and the match - so in that vein I present this link. http://amsterdammodern.com/categories/15-SOLD/14063-dark-walnut-coffee-t...
I hope this helps a little and I will continue to keep my eyes peeled during my furniture browsing. Since I only have 1 major mystery piece left, which I'll probably post here soon due to my recent success, I might have to take on other ID missions to fill the OCD void!
