Could one of you kind ladies or gentleman please identify this drop leaf table, age and origin would be appreciated.It has a quality tappering steel pedistal base its legs terminating with brass caps and pads that read "Armstrong cork company London". I absolutley adore it. Thanks

you can't post photos right from your computer. You have to use flickr or photobucket or one of those photo host sites. Then you just copy/paste the address from there right into the box down below that says "associated web images".

Lovely table. Has the look of a Fornasetti/Ponti collaboration. Here is a Ponti table with a similar base. Fornasetti also did do some floral designs (see below). I am by no means saying this table is Ponti/Fornasetti....just that it shares similar characteristics.

is reminiscent of AJ Milne..
Armstrong glides were used by a lot of the good British makers and designers in the 50s.. Milne, Race, Day..but the top look a bit kitschy to be any of those guys I think..
